The daffodils are out everywhere and the tulips in my garden now have good buds promising a great show. In the meantime, being impatient, I have made a desktop based on tulips. Can you tell I love these flowers! I hope you love this desktop, one of my favourites. Above image will fit a widescreen. Unfortunately I do not have astandard sized one at present.

Spring Desktop
(Originally published 20th April 2009)
Here in central England spring is finally arriving. Yesterday I noticed beautiful cherry blossom beginning to flower. The tulips in my garden are a blaze of colour and I am hoping the rain we are having today does not spoil them. To celebrate the arrival of spring I have created a new desktop which I hope you will enjoy. I used a stunning photograph of Japanese flowering cherry by Petr Kratochvil.
Image above will fit widescreen, standard screensize below.

ANZAC Day
(originally published 23rd April 2009)
A soft muted desktop to commemorate ANZAC day. The background images are from a photograph taken by me in Auckland, New Zealand. The large cenotaph is outside the museum there. The image overlaid on the cenotaph was taken in Messines, Belgium in 2008 at the ANZAC in Europe commemoration services. Morag Sutherland, Scotland, took this lovely photograph.
Above is a widescreen version. If you need a standard screen size please take the one below.

Vintage Pastels
(originally published 31st May 2009)
Welcome June. One of the loveliest months of the year in the UK where I live. I have created this desktop using a public domain image of a lovely girl painted by Jessie Barrick in 1910, together with my own scrap paper, frame and bow. If you would like the scrapset it is named Vintage Pastel and you can see it HERE and HERE.
The desktop also shows part of a poem relating to the month of June by Francis Duggan, an Australian poet. I do not enjoy all his poems but I do love this one. Thank you Francis.

The Seashore
(originally published 8th July 2009)
I have created this new deskstop which covers three of my favourite subjects, the ocean, vintage people and poetry. I hope you like it as much as I do. The finished image looks quite simple but it is a blend of more than ten images. I must admit that I did enjoy creating it.
The lovely verse is from a poem named 'The Sea Shore' written by Letitia Elizabeth Landon, 1802-1838. The full poem may be read HERE.
The above image will fit widescreen monitors, click on the image and save the full size to your own computer. If you need a standard scrren size please take the aimage below.

Desktop for Anytime
(originally posted 31st July 2009)
Started off as a serious look at August but 'it' developed along the way! I love this garden shed in the middle of nowhere, hope you do also. The lovely little girl came courtesy of Koko.

Rose Sunblest
(originally published 5th September 2009)
This beautiful rose has grown in my own garden and survived so much rain it deserves to be seen! I wish you could also smell the delightful perfume!
The stunning swirl decos were created by Judy earlier this week. They really are lovely. I recoloured them to tone. You can see them HERE.
